The equestrian's diet is rarely talked about. Is that because it primarily consists of Starbucks lattes and treats that are sharable with our equine friends? Oat-based cookies, granola bars, candies, and apple slices immediately come to mind (I'm looking at you, Hannah Bauer!).
What about a diet suitable for an athlete? Let's face it... our barns are usually a 30 minute or more drive outside of the city. Most likely, you pass by quite a few less than ideal options on the way (Chipotle and In N Out are post-barn guilty pleasures!).
But what if you want to eat like the athlete you are? What is an equestrian to do?
