When you first read the title you probably thought, “Wahhhhh???” But hear me out. Horses are like potato chips because you can’t have just one! Ahh! Now it makes sense, right?
If you follow 20 x 60 on any social media channels (if you don’t, you should!), you know about my mare, Miss Hannah the Friesian. Hannah means everything to me. I love her sassy personality and willingness to work. The bond we have is incredibly special and she would do anything for me as I would for her. In fact, she would literally run into a wall for me (true story -ask my dressage trainer in California...she witnessed this when we were teaching Hannah rein back).
Despite already having an amazing horse, I still find myself checking dressage horse classifieds on a regularly (okay...daily) basis. Hannah is my forever horse but, as most horse people know and understand, it would be nice to add to my herd. Maybe two is easier than one - or does that only apply to dogs and cats?
Do any of you have a second horse? What prompted you to get the second horse? Riding goals? Showing? An empty stall that needed to be filled?
